Approach
When I look back and realize I have spent the last 35 years in the finance environment I immediately think I must be either "old" or "boring" - or both. Luckily, I don't feel either.
I'm certainly "older" but I think the way in which our industry has changed so greatly over the years has maintained the fascination and the excitement that I had when I graduated with my degree in 1979.
Many people will be surprised to hear accounting termed as ‘exciting’. But remember, we are not just accountants. In fact, we are not even accountants. Accountants work with numbers - we work with people. My vision, when we started Kingstone & Associates, and one which still remains today, was to provide the most appropriate service to our clients. We have succeeded in doing this in the past, and I am determined to ensure that we continue doing this also in the future.
We have created a wonderful team at Kingstone & Associates, full of individuals with a variety of knowledge, experience, likes and dislikes. Together we are complementary and provide to our clients, who often become our friends, a totally unbiased, pro-active and realistic environment in which they feel comfortable, safe, and valued.

Experience
The last 35 years have seen me working with the large accounting firms, as a partner with a small-medium sized inner-city company, and then from 1991 as an owner of what is now Kingstone & Associates, where our focus is advice and guidance for small/medium enterprises (SMEs), family groups, individuals and trusts.
Personal
When allowed to leave the office, I love cycling, the beach and golf. I spend most weekends managing our sons’ hockey teams, tending to our large garden and spending time with my wife, Jane.
